Meet Jon

The Newcastle upon Tyne branch is run by Jon, who is thrilled to be serving the Newcastle upon Tyne city and surrounding area. With a background in management, Jon is equipped and excited to take on the challenge of running his own We Love Pets branch. Each and every member of his team are police checked, fully insured, and pet first aid trained to provide you with extra security and peace of mind.

Jon is self-professed as dog obsessed! There's nothing he and his team love more than getting out for a dog walk in the lovely Newcastle upon Tyne area. Jon is originally from the northeast, and attended university in Newcastle, so he's familiar with all of the best dog walking spots, and is especially fond of Jesmond Dene, Heaton Park, and Leazes Park. Each offers lovely wide open spaces perfect for exercising our WLP dogs. Jon and the team also enjoy strolling along the quayside, and when the weather's nice, a leisurely amble along the beaches of Whitley Bay.

The We Love Pets Newcastle upon Tyne team look after each pet as they would their own, and take the time to get to know your pet and learn their individual needs. It's important to us that we provide just the right amount of mental stimulation, exercise, and attention that your pet requires. We know that as much as you love your dog, you can’t be in two places at once, so we offer our dog walker service throughout the day. 

Your dog will be walked in a safe open space and will return home, happy and tired. We also provide fresh water, treats and will towel your dog off in wet weather.

Our aim is to make each walk the highlight of your dog’s day, giving them a chance to play, socialise, exercise and explore new sights and smells.

Our home-from-home dog boarding service is a great alternative to traditional dog boarding kennels. Ideal for when you go on holiday and want your dog to be thoroughly pampered while you’re away.

Dog Day Care is a place for your dog to spend the day with a friend, play, exercise and relax in the care of a loving home. While you are at work your dog can enjoy walks, cuddles, naps, training, playtime and plenty of attention.

No Pack Walking Policy

We are passionate about giving your dog a physically demanding, stimulating and above all, safe dog walk which is why we adopt a no pack walking policy as part of our promise to deliver the best pet care possible. 

By walking a maximum of four dogs at one time:

  • We can easily keep a trained eye on all dogs.
  • Safety for dogs and their walkers is kept in check.
  • We can walk dogs who get along together.
  • A good balance of confidence and socialisation is achieved.
  • Smaller groups reduce the risk of illnesses or disease spreading.
  • We can easily stop and pick up any dog poop.

 

We only ever use regulated dog walkers who are vetted by us personally and background checked too. All dog walkers are pet first aid trained.
